Is this a reference to something?

Hey guys, I was going through Photoshop Phriday on the Somethingawful website when I came across the section called "Superbowl Surprises". It was REALLY funny, except one picture had me scratching my head thinking, where have I seen that before?

I could SWEAR I've seen that "underground" guy from some film or another, but I can't recall where.  Does anyone know off-hand?  Or was is it just some random element pulled from who knows where?  I mean, trying to think of it's a reference to a film or they just maybe cobbled it from a "construction" type picture...

BTW, if you want to see the whole collection, just go to http://i.somethingawful.com/inserts/articlepics/photoshop/02-08-08-superbowl/djssniper.jpg

Have you ever been to Bratislava?  :teddyr:

I haunt the SomethingAwful site frequently and this guy struck me as familiar as well.  I actually thought it was some WWI memorial!

Turns out, after some digging, it's fairly prosaic....

Ah you kidding?  I had to Google it (Bratislava) just find out where it was!  (Although I did guess somewhere around Russia, so I wasn't too far off.)

It's a neat fact though, thanks for telling me about it.
