You think MY sense of humor is dark...

You should check this lady out.  She's taken her horrible childhood and turned it into a comedy routine, talking about her alcoholic mother and her Clint Eastwood lookalike father who used to rape her when she was a kid.  Featuring such little tidbits like "The Light Side of Incest" and "I'd Rather Be Raped (Than Beaten)".  She makes Christopher Titus's routines about childhood look like the Brady Bunch.

But what's REALLY shocking is it's... well.. actually kind of funny, in a dark, "I know I shouldn't be laughing at this, but I can't help it, oh god, I'm so going to hell for this" kind of way.

Wow, she is funny, disturbing, jaw-dropping, and kind of bombs, despite her incredibly poignant moments.  Tough sh*t...!!  Her persistent "Thank you" to those very few who howl at her brilliant humor and insight is funny and heartbreaking... BTM: Wow.
If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

Oh, interesting note... according to the comments she's made, she DOES have the routines memorized, but she "pretends" to read it because some of the places she goes require her to read (?!) her material.  Dunno what kind of place is that... coffeehouse, maybe?

Thought that was interesting...

Like music, the best comedy is rooted in anger or pain. It's therapeutic for a performer, and brings insight to an audience.
