Annoying habits.

I eat and talk really loud.  I also slurp pop loudly.  Plus, I can't control my gaseous functions, if you catch my drift no pun intended.
Barbeque sauce tastes good on EVERYTHING, even salad.

Yes, salad.

I correct the bad grammar of other people.  To their faces!  For example, if someone says, "amount of people" I automatically say, "it's number of people".  I even do that to newsreaders and others on telly  *lol*  I also say "Zoiks!" a lot.  I'm not as bad as I used to be, but it still happens too much for my liking.

I've been watching Star Trek Voyager lately and I've found myself taking on the habits and persona of Seven of Nine.   Apart from being beautiful, she's smart and capable and very talented with all kinds of things.  I guess I secretly want to be like her.  But I find logic and practicality easier to deal with than high emotion anyway.  And every time she challenges a crew member for their overtly human reaction to things, I find myself thinking, "yep, she's right."  So I've started behaving like her!

Telling people the brutal honest truth about themselves to their faces is, apparently, annoying.  If someone says, "does my bum look big in this?", my response is, "do you want the truth or validation?"  They stop asking after that.

People often use negative language to describe themselves, waiting for the person they are talking to to say something like, "no,you're a wonderful person, you shouldn't be so hard on yourself."

I find that annoying and unnecessary.  I don't use negative language when I speak about myself, so I refuse to enable someone else or pander to their egos because they are too lame to take charge and acknowledge their decency.  It's happening to my co worker right now.  She wandered off yesterday to talk to someone and because I was working, I didn't really notice.  She came back and said, "did you miss me?"  I said, "ummm...no, I didn't even realise you were gone."  And then she said, "that's okay, I don't take offence.  I mean, why would anyone miss someone like me, anyway?"

I just smiled at her and went back to my work.  I could tell she was peed off, but I didn't care.  I don't play emotional games like that and luckily she doesn't try it on too often.  The world is too noisy and crowded and emotionally unstable these days and I don't like living in that world.  So I've been trying to make my own reality the kind of place I want to live in.

I guess that means, I'll be annoying people for years to come  *lol*

1. I tend to play with my false teeth a lot which frightens the hell out of my parents and other unsuspecting people but amuses children, so that's OK.

2. I tend to fart loudly in public which makes people gag, children scream and animals faint.  :twirl: Cars have also be known to veer wildly off the road when this happens. Paint also blisters: you should see my flat's walls.  :buggedout:

3. I talk to myself a lot. When people say "Oh, you're talking to yourself" and laugh, I say "At least I'm talking to someone intelligent."  :teddyr:

4. I try and behave like Vincent Cassel in The Crimson Rivers a lot: I don't look like him as you can see, but at least I've never had to fight skinheads and get buried under a falling snowplough.  :buggedout:

We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

I bite my fingers to death.

You sound like my sister  *lol*

She's such a skinny thing, but when she lets rip (usually silently), you better be on another continent.  Many times I've witnessed her fart in a supermarket aisle and then walk away.  The next unsuspecting person who walks through the noxious cloud of gas ALWAYS comments out loud.  Other shoppers then wonder why my sister and I are giggling hysterically.

Her fiancee is a wonderful man.  I think his nose hairs have melted away in the years they've been together because he doesn't even comment any more  *lol*

Bees, that reminds me of this time my mom and I were at Target around Christmas and we passed by an old woman and as she walked away, we were smacked in the face with the most horrible stench ever.  I still have my face in a cinammon candle every night before bed in a futile attempt to rid my nostrils of the smell.

My roommate has this irritating habit of leaving his clothes behind the bathroom door.  As far as my habits go, I talk to myself in the car.  Usually, it's because I have something on my mind, but one of my friends says it's the only intelligent conversation that I can get sometimes.

I bite my nails, pop my knuckles, thump my fingers on the counter, and when I have my wallet out I do this weird twirling thing with it, Let's face it, I'm a fidgeter.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Here are my annoying habits in order what so every.

1) Using my hands to dust surfaces.  if I see dust I will takes my hands or just one my fingers and wipe the surface a little bit.  Don't ask me why I do it, I just do.

2) Bite my fingernails.  I've been doing that for years ever since I was a little kid.

3) Talking to myself. Again something I have done since I was like 5 or 6.  I usually do this when I'm in the car or at my house when no one is around.  I have way to much on my mind and I need to get it out there, even if I am the only one who hears it.  Now when I write a paper, or something along those line I talk out loud.  However that is only for the purpose of helping me with what I want to write.

I belch frequently, and loudly, usually saying words as I do so, like "BUICK" and "YARP"  and "GEORGE BUSH".

"I shall smite you in the nostrils with a rod of iron, and wax your spleen with Efferdent!!"

flackbait

I ussually forget to wear a belt and belch loudly!

Funny, I have no annoying habits. No, none at all. Isn't that strange?  :bouncegiggle:
What does not kill me makes me stranger.

There's nothing worse than being caught up in Granny Swamp Arse smell.   :buggedout:
