Snakes and ooze?

I cant think of the name of this movie. I saw it when i was really young.. so i'm assuming it was 80's or maybe VERY early 90's. I remember a guy that gets bitten by a snake, and i'm not sure if he was injecting some weird stuff or taking pills, or fell into some kind of goo, but he eventually ends up having a snake grow out of his arm. It thinks for itself and attacks people, so he cuts it off, but it only makes things worse (shocker). any idea what it was?

That was The Curse 2. It's an Italian, in-title only sequel to The Curse. Fun film, deserved more than being pawned off as a sequel.

Yes indeedy, 'tis "Curse II: The Bite." It's actually available with "Curse" in a double-feature DVD release, which is on my very long DVD wishlist.
