Just to be clear, I DO like the American remake of "Ringu", just not as much as the original Japanese version.

Is it just me or do Japanese ghosts/ghouls seem scarier?  Because of the Japanese peoples' normal physical appearance, they seem scarier looking when they're done up as ghosts.
