It is about a suburban family, that nobody expects anything. but they have like this evil child, that they keep locked in the basement. And the way the mother sends food down, is in one of those old laundry shoots.. Well anyways, one day someone leaves the cage to the basement unlocked, and the evil child gets out and kills the family.. Thats basically all i can really remember about the movie. It has been a really really really long time since I saw it. If someone could please help me if you recall the name of the movie.

Actually, isn't that an episode of Tales From the Darkside?
Kneel before Dr. Hell, the ruler of this world!

I voted "Name of Movie?", although I think that was only the working title.  The producers forced them to change the title to something more marketable, but I don't know what it was.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

I went with name of movie as well.  It says "name of Movie" right in the title of the post, so I figured that was probably the correct answer.
The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.

The description sounds a little more like a sub-genre than a specific movie. There was an Outer Limits like that, the new one.

I'm not sure it was a TV show episode.
I remember hearing about a film like the one you described.  It was a feature film.

At first I was thinking it was "Humongous" but that's not it.
I know I've heard of it but can't remember the title.

This sounds a little like Pete Walker's House of The Long Shadows.
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

No, it's not "The House of Long Shadows." A scene like that described would necessitate a flashback sequence to where the adults in the film were children. And I've seen the film enough times to know there is no sequence like that in the film.

But have you see the film, Trevor? Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, John Carradine, Shelia Keith, Richard Todd, Norman Rossington, and Desi Arnaz, jr. You can hardly get a cast better than that in a horror film.

Possibly "Bad Ronald" from the Seventies?
There are few things more beautiful than a sporting montage with a soft-rock soundtrack

I'm pretty sure I know which film the OP's asking about but I can't think of the name.
I remember reading about it in one of my video movie guides. (haven't actually seen it)

It's about a creature that lives in the basement of this house and it terrorizes people.
If I could only remember the name.
I'll flip through my book to see if I can find it.

I know of a movie about two older women who keep their deranged, deformed brother locked up in the cellar.  Let me try to figure out the title.
