Guess I need to give it a chance.

Nope.  Don't waste your money.  It's like a very silly version of DAY OF THE TRIFFIDS.  It has a few interesting gore effects, but they aren't good enough to make this worth spending the money.

I'd give it a chance - I found the movie really enjoyable.  It's always nice when they try to throw in something original, instead of making another  by-the-numbers slasher or zombie flick.
"I shall smite you in the nostrils with a rod of iron, and wax your spleen with Efferdent!!"

I agre with that. But the central concept was lame. I mean, killer, singing plants? WTF? If it wasn't for the gore, nobody could take that remotely seriously.
Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

Joe the Destroyer

Meh, I found this film mediocre for the most part.  Nothing really gripped my interest.  The thing that I found odd about this movie is that I actually found myself wanting the characters to die, not because I hated them, but because I really thought it would be better if they kept that thing contained.

Not the worst film I've seen, but definitely far from the best.  I think I might pick up the book, as I have a suspicion it's probably better than the movie.

ER

great book slightly above average movie but worth seeing
