The movie is an 80's movie i believe. The older brother died in the 50's/60's time, the same time as "The Outsiders" did, and the movie i believe was similar to the outsiders, except one of the guys dies by train (the friends did it i believe) and the dead brother's younger brother tries getting revenge or solving who killed his older brother. I can't remember what it was, seen it in the mid 90's i believe and someone said it might be "The Outsiders" but i'm pretty sure it's not.

Any help would be great, i thought Keifer Sutherland was in it, but i'm pretty sure i'm mixing thoughts of "Stand by me" in with it
or maybe i can just fit Keifer in the 50's greaser uniform again.

So yeah basically..... Boy in the 50's/60's dies, and the dead brothers younger brother gets revenge for his death, being that the
friends of his killed him.

Thanks

Hey i'm the Ron guy that posted this, forgot to sign in when i posted that. Thanks but i don't think it was a black and white made movie.
I distinctively remember something with a train, don't really remember a train in the Rumble Fish, but thanks alot for the reply.

The plot you describe is somewhat similar to A GUIDE TO RECOGNIZING YOUR SAINTS (2006), with Robert Downey Jr. as a writer remembering his childhood, except that the flashbacks occur in the 1980s (although they seem timeless and could appear to be the 60s/50s).  If I recall correctly, the tough kid lost his brother in a train accident, and sought revenge on another gang member.  He winds up in jail at the end.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

Nah it couldn't be a 2006 movie. I seen it in the mid 90's. The movie i believe is from the 80's or early 90's, but the train accident happened in the 50's/60's, but then when he gets his revenge i believe it's the present time when the movie was filmed (80's, early 90's). Thanks though.
