Need some help with an late 80s early 90s movie

Okay first off I know very little about this movie.  I saw it when I was really young probably about 5 or 6 years old so it would have been around 93 or 94. I'm not sure if it was a kids movie but I'm guessing that it was most likely PG.

Here is what I can remember.  I think it is a group of teens go into this cave and can't find their way out or something.  At the end it shows them finally getting out.  For some reason I'm thinking there might be something to do with crystals or something but I'm not sure.  I know that one of the main people was an oriental asian girl with long black hair.

Well i saw that you said, 93, 94. but that does sounds pretty close to The Descent. But i think that came out like 2004 -2006 im not sure, And they went into a cave, Got trapped and went deeper to find another way out, Came across some creatures that started killing them off, One of the girls was long dark hair and oriental so this is the only reason i suggest this.
