I think it's funny that a while back people were talking about how people's complaints about the X-Mas season starting way to early were unfounded, and about how "you never see ANYTHING out earlier than Thanksgiving", , and here they are talking about their lights being out since the first week on November.

Also, those people didn't have to take their lights down, it was recognized as a mistake, and apologized for. We should remember that when a Muslim, Pagan, Wiccan, Satanist, or whatever are scolded for their displays.
Raw bacon is GREAT! It's like regular bacon, only faster, and it doesn't burn the roof of your mouth!

Yeah, I was glad to see the article did come with a happy ending for that family, but the fact even the effort was made to stomp on someone's happy time irked me. Heck, I think everybody should put up displays if they want to. I love holidays and I'm big on individual freedom as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. Pagan displays seem like they'd be particularly cool with all that intricately intertwining Celtic linework. Menorahs look nice. Christmas lights are great in the dark winter evenings, assuming they're not so bright they cause blindness or can be seen from space....if you ever read this, Mr. Jones down the road, I do mean you. The little fish with Darwin in the center honors one of the great thinkers of his time. Last time I checked the First Amendment even protected Satanists, so let's see their zombie trees or whatever. Let December be a month of symbols and displays that give joy or instill thought, the prettier the better, and let's all, er, get along.
