Android movie

Trying to find the name of a movie, early 1980's android / cyborg type of movie.  It was humans vs robots, but there were good / bad robots.  They looked alot like the bottom half of "johnny 5" from Short Circuit and the top half looked like the "Borg" from Star Trek.  Don't remember much of the movie, towards the end the good robot sacrificed himself to save the humans.  Any ideas?
