I've a huge fan of the manga, The Drifting Classroom.  It's probably the best horror manga I've ever read.  During the course of reading it, I noticed a few things in and I have thought to myself, wow, the story has done it before anyone else has!  Here's what I mean by that:

In the comic during volume 4, I saw these tiny little insect monsters, smaller than index finger, swarm some of the characters in the comic and eat them alive from head to toe, leaving nothing behind but a skeleton.  I found this similiar to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull where the KGB agents get eaten alive by those ants.

In volume 10, I saw these little kids enter this theme park that reminded me of Westworld and Jurassic Park with dinosaurs and a robot that killed some of the kids.

The whole setting is kind of similiar to that desert planet in Dune, without the techinically advance cities.  I do realize the Dune the novel was written before The Drifting Classrom, but I'm refering to the movie.

I'm not accusing any of these movies or novels of copying The Drifting Classroom, I'm saying that the manga has interestingly enough done what they have done, only many years to decades earlier.  The manga was created in 1972 and lasted until 1974.  If you read the series, maybe you spotted other things it has done before others did.

We live in quite an interesting age. You can tell someone's sexual orientation and level of education from just their interests.
