You post this as if it is a bad thing.

Anything to make squirrels more...squirrelly can only be a good thing.

Now bow before our rodent masters, and pray for forgiveness.

We had a fair amount of black squirrels back home.  They usually take over a population since they are rumored to be a bit more aggressive than the caffeine consuming gray ones.

On behalf of Americans and American squirrels, I apologize.  Apparently aggression is bred into our wildlife here as well as into our children.

Given that your screen name and avatar refers to another coffee-drinking mammal, I wonder if you don't have some bias in favor of the squirrels.

Up here the authorities are so concerned about the adverse imact of Grey Squirrels on the native Red population that they've actually tried to spread contraceptive drugs in areas inhabited by the greys.

One of them, of course.

But seriously, American breeds of squirrels were introduced into the UK and they are meaner and more aggressive than the native red squirrels.  Plus, they breed faster.  They have been reducing the numbers of red squirrels.  Red squirrels are beautiful little guys.  They wouldn't do well here, but it would be fun to have them mixed in.  Just another case of America bullying the little guys somewhere else...   :twirl:

I remember this cat we had many years ago.  One time we had a family get together and someone left a mixed drink sitting out.  The cat went over and started drinking out of the glass.  She slept pretty good that night.

We used to have a lot of black squirrels, but now we're back to mostly gray ones.  The black ones would wait on the edge of the road and then run out in front of cars.  We've got a lot of chipmunks too, I live trap them and run them up the road a few miles.  The guy who lives up there must really love me  :teddyr:

Maybe there is something to the fact that Americans are more agressive than the English. Not only are American squirrels meaner and more aggressive than the English variety, but--apparently--so are the rats. It is said, that when you approach an English rat in London, they'll run, but approach, an American rat in New York City, they don't run--they attack!
