I just picked up the R-rated edition of "Rise: Blood Hunter" at Big Lots and would like to know what the differences between it and the unrated DVD are.  According to online venders the unrated DVD contains "25 minutes of never-before-seen footage" so what, exactly, is in those 25 minutes?  More gore?  Nudity?  Plot?

Google turned up lots of unhelpful reviews and dozens of torrent listings for the unrated version, this despite the fact 98.987% of the reviews I've read say the movie sucks harder than a starving tick on a rabid junkyard dog.  Yet there must be something of interest in the unrated version if it's being pirated that much, right?

Is the rated edition a keeper or a sleeper?  Do I take it out of the cellophane and watch it or trade it for the unrated version?

Thanks for your help.

I saw it on the Sci-Fi channel, I thought it was fairly dull.  It wasn't horrible or anything, but Lucy Lui's character wasn't the least bit interesting, the plot was really predictable, the action sequences weren't even exciting.

Thanks for replying Jack.  I guess this is one of those movies that not a lot of people have seen both the rated and unrated version of, or are too embaressed to admit they ever saw it at all.   :bouncegiggle:
