Seriously, what is the movie's rating?  I have a copy of the movie that states it is PG-13, but I have also found copies and places all over the Internet that says it is rated R.  I'm very confused about this.  Is rating on my DVD a typo or is it really PG-13?

Pretty sure it was R when I saw it in the theater.  My DVD says R.

If it shows nipples, it's R.  If it shows everything but, it's PG-13. Seems to be the rule these days.  You can have decapitations and dismemberment and still get a PG-13, but show the Pointer Sisters and they slap you with an R . . . unless you are James Cameron!

There's a few others with nipples, especially in PG films (which would have been PG-13 today), like Airplane! and The Killer Elite.  More modern ones include The 5th Element and Fool's Gold.  They seem to allow nipples in PG-13 films if they're shown very briefly (with Titanic being the one gigantic exception).  I dunno, I don't get it either.

It's R.  Your DVD must be a misprint.  Certainly deserves it for the violence and the swearing.

Oh yes - before PG-13 came around, it was quite common for PG movies to feature brief nudity.  I'm not advocating it, it's just that it seems to me that we are more willing for our children to see someone's head taken off by a cannon ball in a movie than for them to become aware of the fact that women have nipples.  Strange priorities.

In South Africa, it's rated 10 V [violence], slightly more than a PG.

Well, if you won't advocate brief nudity in PG movies, I will!

It's R.  I remember reading somewhere that the original DVD release has a misprint on it stating that it's PG-13, but it really is R.

Anyways, thanks guys!
