Definitely Paul Stanley.  Love his voice.

I picked Ace, just cause his name's Ace Frehley, and that's a cool name.  I'm not a huge KISS fan (I have a 'greatest hits' cd, but don't think I'd get more than that), but they've got some decent enough songs.

I LOVE KISS! Great little thread RC!

I always have to go with Paul Stanley, the star-child. The guy is a fantastic singer/performer/writer and a really nice dude. Plus, he single-handedly dragged KISS' ass through the 80's (my favourite period in KISStory) whilst Gene $immons was off playing moviestar/producer.

I'll admit though, I nearly went with "other schmucks" as I am also a monster fan of Vinnie Vincent, who's guitar playing I drool over and he did write a fair few great songs for the band to get them back in the big-time.

I have to say aswell, Eric Carr (10 years with KISS) should have be one of the voting options. A far, far superior drummer to Peter Criss. R.I.P.

I voted for Peter...well, I didn't think anyone else would.

I like 'Beth'.

I'm gonna have to go with Eric Carr.  He was the best drummer in the world and he was 100% about the music.  My favorite KISS music is all from his time with the band.

If they let you play music in Heaven, I'm definitely going to have to find Eric and jam with him.

EDIT:

But I voted for Paul because Eric wasn't a choice.  I like Paul almost as much, he is a superb showman and musician.  Gene is cool and a great inspiration to my bass playing, but he's a little too hung up on the money vs. the music.

I voted for Paul due to his voice and the fact the guy is a superb showman.

I voted for Gene, because when I was young, the whole long tongue, blood spitting, fire-breathing demon thing was what all the parents b***hed about, so that's what I wanted to see.

(I logged in just to respond to this thread.)  I have to agree; for me half the fun of "I...wanna Rock'n'Roll all ni--eh-ight and partyevereeday..." were GENE's antics.

This is a bad movie site... so... the correct answer is obviously "Gene Simmons."
