Weird phone calls

I been getting a weird call repeatedly for the last few days. The caller ID simply says Winnipeg  MB.  I checked the phone book and it is coming from the Manitoba area code.  The one time I picked it up, there was no one there.

Thing is I don't know anyone from Winnipeg and no one in my family does.

Am I being harassed by Canadian telemarketers?

Sounds like you are getting calls from an automatic dialer. Worst part is you might not be able to get off their calling list. I know there was a few companies that got ran out of the US when the Do Not Call list law went in effect. Some closed up but others moved to Canada. Found that out because I was getting fax machine calls in the middle of the night a couple of years ago. I contacted my telephone provider and a couple of US government agencies which handled those issues. They all told me to contact the F.B.I. because the company was on their fraud investigation list. However dispite filing a complaint, in the end the only thing I could do is just change my telephone number.
