I purchased this movie as part of Something Weird DVD's "Bare Box."

Chesty Morgan (referred to in the opening credits as "Zsa Zsa") stars as a woman whose gangster husband is murdered.  The plot is very simple: she seeks out the killers and smothers them with her 73 inch breasts (thus the title DEADLY WEAPONS).

If you can sit though scenes of Chesty naked (her breasts are enormous and you can see some veins in them . . . YUCK) and some of the most awful dialogue, acting, camerawork, and direction (yup, this was directed by nudie-movie veteran and one of the worst directors ever: Doris Wishman) you might get a few laughs out of this.

1970s porn star Harry Reems is also in this.  He plays a gangster and has his trademark ridiculous 70s hairstyle and big moustache (he looks sort of like Geraldo Rivera).  I'm not sure whose acting is worse, Chesty's or Harry's.

This is bad, bad, bad in every way . . . but that's why we're here, isn't it?

Cult Movie Mania

I have a very cool CD of drive-in/grindhouse movie trailer audio tracks.  Deadly Weapons is one of them!  Always wanted to see this.  I'm a big fan of SWV, so this is a must-see.  Good score!

Dude, it's a Doris Wishman film what did you expect? She is the female Ed Wood, I dare say she is worse than Ed Wood, she's worse than Uwe Boll.

But what can I say I have the Bare Box Set and about 300 other SWV DVD's. I believe I nearly all of Doris Wishman's early stuff.

I'd say "Bad Girls Go to Hell" is likely her best work, but there are some I haven't watched yet.

CheezeFlix - I think NUDE ON THE MOON is probably the funniest Wishman movie I have in my collection.  BAD GIRLS GO TO HELL is pretty good . . . and also ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER MAN.  I agree . . . she is probably worse than Ed Wood.  I can't figure out her ridiculous camera movements, like zooming in on a potted plant or a clock or some wallpaper for no apparent reason.

It hard to say which is her best, they're all equally bad. "Nudes on the Moon" is good, generally speaking. "Another Day. Another Man" is ok.

Her camera work is bad and makes little sense at times, I haven't seen one of her films in awhile I'll have to suffer through one to refresh my memory.

I haven't actually seen this film in its entirety.  All I've seen is the trailer that's on that Extra Weird Sampler DVD.

I didn't realize that Harry Reams  starred in more mainstream fare outside of hardcore porn back in the 70's.

Torgo - Harry Reems actually tried to break into mainstream movies for awhile (I believe he played a detective once in a low budget movie).  The fact that he has ZERO acting ability quickly sunk his mainstream career.

I've read that the reason for her focusing on potted plants and such is that often she could not afford live sound on the set and filmed the scene silent, dubbing in the dialogue later.  She didn't want the audience to see that the actors' lips didn't sync up with their words, so she focused the camera on some random object instead.

Whatever the reason, the effect is delightfully surreal and a sure sign your watching authentic Wishman!

I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...
