Greetings

I've been wondering for the past few days if there are any movies about killer jellyfish or giant jellyfish. One that comes to mind is "The Sting of Death" (1965) but the creature in that one is more in the "mutated human-jellyfish-thingy" category, presuming that there are enough movies with mutated human-jellyfish-thingys to form a category...
...
Lost my track there for a while.
Anyhoo, can anybody tell me if there are movies about actual killer/giant jellyfish and not just some mutated man-jellos?
Thanks in advance!

Andrew

The monsters in "Dogora" are kind of space jellyfish

There are killer jellyfish in "Sphere."

You got me.  Normally, this would be the type of question I would ask. and sadly, as a big fan of killer animal/fish/insect/and what not films, I would think I know something.

Just remembered, there is a large alien jellyfish-like or squid-like monster in one of the episodes of Showtimes The Outer Limits.  There are also alien jellyfish people in the original Outer Limits episode "The Mice."

What would you consider the things from "The Abyss?"

I must admit that I haven't seen The Abyss in a while and don't quite recall the appearance of the creatures, but If they look jellyfishy, are larger than an average jellyfish and are lethal and malevolent they should suit my tastes of jellyfishy-mutant-thingies.
Thanks to ye all, I will most certainly see the Abyss again and Sphere as soon as possible

The alien beings in "The Abyss" turn out to be friendly, even if they do accidentally sink a navy sub in the beginning and then threaten the world with massive tsunamis. It's been a lot of years since I've seen it but I seem to recall a giant Portuguese Man-o-War creature in an episode of "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea".
