Does anyone remember this gem from the middle '80s?  It was made by sam ramie and starred bruce cambell.  Saw it as a youngster. Mostly remember the car chase in Detroit with the exterminator's panel van and Sam's yellow olds 88 (1973)? Any thoughts, opinions?

The Burgomaster

I remember that it used to be on one of the cable pay channels (CINEMAX, maybe) quite frequently.  I don't remember a whole lot about it, though.

"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

Jim H

Saw this not too long ago.  It's alright.  The best part about the movie is easily the exterminator duo played by Brion Williams and Paul Smith.  They're both great.  The film is also pretty funny at times.

But, a LOT of the jokes fall really flat and the hero and other characters are pretty weak.  Some big chunks of the film are...  Boring.  And the film borders on incoherent at times - I suspect the editing job Sam Raimi was very unhappy with is part of the problem.

It's worth a watch, but not worth owning.
