This movie starts off like a very typical 80's video boom/ slasher movie , but the director decided to try something a little different.  I say, give me the cheesy slasher movie and keep your something different.  I'm sure there are some people who would be really into this, I'm going to guess they are the same people who are really into Rush and Yes,  but for me it was not compelling.  It's based on some probably real theories of psychology and dream interpretation, freud and jung and so forth.  What you're left with is something between Videodrome and Plan 9 from outer space as channeled through a really nondescript if likeably clunky horror movie somewhat livened up by an infrequent nude dream vision girl and a strangely attractive, depending on how drunk you are, female lead.  It appears as though alot of work went into this and the reissue packaging as well.  With that much effort involved someone has got to be really into this but that person is not me I'm afraid.

I thought it was rather decent. Not great, but enjoyable. Kind of feels like what you'd get if Don Dohler tried to make a Lovecraft movie.
