Thinking about it, I married Nera from Dragon Quest V.

However, it more of a mechanic of the game and I had to do it so I could get a shield that I use against the evil demon at the end of the game. Also, she was good magic caster and very useful for fighting monsters. It was a good marriage while it lasted.
