Yeesh... I think I remember hearing that some news sources did the same to Stephen King when he was run over. 

And the same did happen to me, sort of.  There was a report that a Washington man with the exact same name as me was wanted for murder.  Everyone at work said that the cops were looking for me, and I kept trying to remember my week and see if I had forgotten about killing someone.  I think I'm safe.
