This is an entertaining, though problematic short (45 mins) movie.  The star is Vinnie Stigma who is in a big New York hard core band called Agnostic Front (which is ironic because he is a devout Catholic and a total loner in the film!)  A small time or medium time hood's Dad gets out of Sing Sing and comes back home. The problem is he is extremely bitter and perhaps a little insane from his 12 years in the big house and starts murdering people in a misguided attempt to help his son doing his various crimes (selling drugs, running a small brothel, dog track bets)!

It gets a few things right which is more than you can say for alot of films.  The gritty tone is established immediately and is relentless.  The problem for me was that the style of editing, many very short scenes, seemed more like a way to cover up for lack of solid screenwriting than a device the director chose.  Also, there are far too many shots of Jimmy, the main character, greeting people!  How many handshakes do we need to see?  (Mobb Deep's Murda Muzik had this same problem).

Tone is very low budget and amateurish. effective and liberal use of violence and some nudity.  I hope they make another movie and I think it will be better as this shows potential if in the end, it isn't totally succesfull.  If you are a fan of the band or the New York Hard Core genre it's an obvious recommendation.
