This new addition to my DVD collection is really a bad movie.  But it's a fun bad movie, so I guess that makes it good.

John Considine plays Doctor Death, a mystic who has gained immortality by transferring his soul from body to body every time his current body is about to die.  He calls this "selective reincarnation."  He is also able to transfer souls of other people into different bodies, and he holds secret stage shows for small audiences where he demonstrates this.

Moe Howard of Three Stooges fame has a small part as an audience member who Doctor Death brings on stage to assist him.  Moe (in his late 70s at the time) looks very small, frail, and feeble in this movie.

Doctor Death lives in a mansion and has a typical cliche assistant (a big, mute guy named Thor who wears something that looks like a blacksmith's apron).  Most of Death's dialogue consists of flowery, poetic speeches that he delivers in a very theatrical manner (sort of like Vincent Price in THEATRE OF BLOOD).

This is a bad movie that's worth seeing.

The DVD is a nice quality widescreen presentation.  Enjoy!
