The original version is dubbed, because Arnold's accent was all wrong for Hercules, and sometimes difficult to understand.

A more recent video release has Arnold's original dialogue. That would probably be the one that John saw.

Hard to say which is funnier.

This is one of my favourite "so bad it's good" movies. So much to laugh at. It's usually one of the first bad movies I show someone who is not yet familiar with the idea of finding humour in bad cinema.
