Another nice quality widescreen DVD-R I bought from Cinema de Bizarre.  Unfortunately, the movie is mostly a snooze fest.

Here's the plot:  A Mafia boss is murdered.  His wife travels to Palermo to confront the rival boss who ordered the hit.  (So, as you can see, there's nothing special here).

This movie mostly consists of dull, dubbed dialogue scenes. "La Padrina" isn't a strong enough character to make the revenge aspect of the movie interesting.  There are a few scenes of nudity and violence that may wake up the audience from time to time, but there aren't enough of them to save this movie.  The most memorable scenes include a guy getting his throat cut with a bottle, another guy getting thrown down a stairwell, and a severed hand in a cake.

And the soundtrack . . . oooooh, boy . . . the same background music repeats endlessly throughout the film.  If you're a fan of 1970s Italian crime movies, you'll probably recognize the style.  It's sort of a hypnotic waltz . . . most likely stock music that was used in other movies.  But it just keeps playing incessantly.  Stop the madness!

Here's the cover art on the DVD case:

"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."
