I was thinking we could have a thread where everyone who paints, draws, takes pictures, or does wacky stuff with photoshop can show off there work so they can get ego-boosting comments from others on the board.  Obviously, NSFW would need to be linked to something offsite instead of shown directly in the thread (or maybe not at all, depending on how Andrew want to do it, either way is cool), but I think it would be a good for all us artists to get together and show off a bit.

What do you guys think?

That sounds pretty good.  I have so much Photoshopped sh!t, it's not even funny.

Here's one I just finished. I was figuring out Daz Studio, and put this together with a combination of Blender, Daz and GIMP. Came out pretty good. It started out as a t-shirt, but it doesn't seem right for that. I think I'll make a postcard out of it. "Having a wonderful time, wish you were here." :teddyr: Of course, now I have a b-movie hero, his girlfriend and the Party Beach monster (made the head myself in Blender, following movie stills), so I can do a few more things with them. Much easier than using just Blender for people, as I had been doing. I took a little bit of licence with the monster's body, but I didn't want it to end up looking too real, so I made it look more like a guy in a suit. Has to look fake to get the full effect. The 12 MP render of this is really something.

Nice pic Andy!
It looks to me like the woman is trying to push her boyfriend out of the way, so she can engage in carnal bliss with the fish-man.  :teddyr:

I'm especially happy with the matinee-idol look on the guy. I just used a female skin map on him - one without makeup, of course. That, and quite a bit of enhancement in the chin and jaw.

As for the monster, I already had the head started - a low-poly version - from an earlier project that has been sitting on the back burner. A couple of years ago, I made a pretty good start on a b-movie themed FPS game with various characters from the public domain. I've got low-poly animated models of Ro-Man, Torg the robot, a giant spider, a wobbly Plan 9 saucer and Kronos. I already recycled a couple of them for this trailer last year.

Now, I'll probably start doing detailed models of them all for Daz.
