So, this should be interesting.  A new TV series based on the comic book of the same name is going to premiere on AMC this October.  For the unfamiliar, The Walking Dead is about a cop, Rick Grimes, who's trying to find his wife and child in the midst of a zombie apocalypse.  The comic series has been going on for some time now and it's creator, Robert Kirkman says that he intends to continue it "forever."

It'll be interesting to see how much they'll be able to "get away" with and put into the series.  I don't think I'm spoiling anything when I say that the comics can be pretty damn brutal at times, as the author doesn't seem to hesitate to kill off main characters, not to mention have a lot of horrible crap happen to the protagonist.

Another thing I'm wondering how they'll deal with is the fact that there are several children in the comic, and, as we saw on Lost, it can get rather interesting to see the young actors miraculously grow several years in a story that's supposed to take place over a few months time...

I expect they're going to get away with a lot.  If you've ever watched Breaking Bad, you'll know what I mean.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Actually, you know I've seen a clip from that show where they had a dude's severed head on a turtle, but I haven't watched it.  Is it good?  I may to get the DVD from Netflix.

(I don't have cable, but we do at the hotel I work, so sometimes I see bits and pieces of things during the night.)

I'm stunned at the idea, all these years later, of even watching AMC.
If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

You ain't just whistlin' Dixie, friend. That was a nasty show. Brian Cranston's character is beyond psycho..I bet he'd have guys like Ed Gein goin'  "DAMN!!"'

As to the clip of The Walking Dead, looks good. About time zombies had their own TV show!
