A CANDLE FOR THE DEVIL (aka IT HAPPENED AT NIGHTMARE INN) (1973)

This is a fairly dull "shocker" I bought from Cinema de Bizarre.

It's a bit more serious than other similar movies, but that doesn't make it good.

Judy Geeson stars as Laura, an English woman who plans to join her sister in Spain.  When Laura arrives at the Inn, the innkeepers (two middle-aged sisters) inform her that Laura already paid her bill and checked out.  The fact is, one of the innkeepers killed her and the other sister helped cover up the crime.  This leads to murders of other "immoral" young women.  The stupid "freeze frame, we couldn't think of a good climax" ending will make you want to use the DVD as a frisbee.
