Need help with title for action movie

Hi all fellow b-movie watchers!

New on here, been looking forever for a title of a movie I watched many moons ago. Might be a bit difficult as I can't remember perfect scenes but I do remember loving this movie when I was younger.

I remember something with quite an epic car chase where the good guy is chased by two black cars and a russian-looking gunship helicopter.
Also something along the lines of the hero finding a bunch of dead people scattered in an area, some sort of failed experiment or chemical weapon fallout or something maybe?

No, Capricorn One was a film about a staged mission to Mars, shot on a sound set, and the efforts of the beleaguered crew of the staged mission to inform the world that it was indeed fake, all the while being chased and hunted down by CIA agents intent on silencing them. Great movie, seen it in the theates back in the day.

It did have chopper chases in it though.

Could this film be The Last Chase (1981) with Lee Majors? Could you also let us know when you saw it and any actors you remember from it?

My best guess is "The Chain Reaction"  with Steve Bisley, the guy who played "Goose" in Mad Max.
