I've had 2 root canals and I have three crowns.  Root canal is not that big a deal if they numb you up good. One of mine had to be done because I cracked my bottom molar in the back and decay formed under an existing filling, then I broke the top molar right above a couple of years later and that one just got a crown (both of these crowns are gold, they told me it was better to just have metal ones on your back molars because the porcelain ones break easily).

Two years ago I one on the other side that had an abscess in it. It was hard to do because the canals were really crooked.

I'm funny about toothbrushes, I found one about three years ago made by Butler that I really liked. I found out the Dollar Tree carried them in two packs, so I bought about four years worth of them.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Oh I love a good thread resurrection!  :teddyr:

I usually have about two toothbrushes on the go, because I wear them out quite quickly with my fang-like teeth. I did use an electric one years ago, but just switched back to a manual brush as I always felt like the electric one wasn't doing a good enough job. I use mouthwash, but I don't floss and my favourite toothpaste was always Signal. I used to love all their adverts too and I get all nostalgic whenever there's a Signal ad shown on TV. I have been using Arm & Hammer lately as I have stained teeth, although I have not had any other dental problems and I am usually told that I have a perfect set of teeth.

Guess I missed this one too.  I brush about twice a day, floss when I can (hence my gingavitis) and use Crest ProHealth currently.

And yes I recall Wacky Packages and have an album of the original and quite a few of the new varities.

Thank you for the nostalgia, AHD. I must have had at least two dozen Wacky Packages stuck on my headboard as a lad, and probably another two dozen on other surfaces such as my lunchbox and my school folder.

As for toothbrushes, I simply cannot use anything less than a medium bristle, even hard sometimes. I've read conflicting opinions that hard bristle is not good for your enamel, but soft bristles just don't seem to do the job. And here I am, 43 years old, and I've never had serious oral problems and my teeth continue to get a clean bill of health from my dentist. So, take a long walk on a short peir, oral care experts.

Did you know that hillbillies invented the the tooth brush? If it was invented by anyone else, it would have been called a teeth brush.  :twirl:

I shouldn't talk though...as soon as I hit 44...I started loosing teeth. I have one upper front tooth missing,so I look like a middleaged Alfred E. Nueman. I have two back teeth that fell out as well. I have years of drinking hard liquer and not enough fruit to thank for that.
Note taken, always use mixers.
