Screwballs II: Loose Screws (1985)

If I were to try and name the most idiotic movie ever, at least in America (You might not realize the hell that Jerry Lewis has wrought in Europe), this would probably be just about the first that came to mind.  I don't know if Roger Ebert or any of the big critics saw this back in the 80's but if they did they probably would have given it no stars. It's so far beyond ridiculous it's almost avant garde. It's Canadian and definately has that cartoonish touch they are known for.

The scenerios remind one most of porn. The teachers name is Mona Lott and she offers to give private french lessons and it I mean it's just foolish and way too over the top and unrealistic to be funny. It's like they were making a teen sex comedy and intentionally tried to destroy it from within. It also reminds me of the teletubbies in a way I can't really explain. I was mad at it for a while then I just gave up and went along, not really willingly.

It is saved, however by wall to wall nudity!


plot: Four typical Porky's type horny males are sent to a reform school place. In the first Screwballs, which I confess I loved, the goal was to see Purity Chastity or whatever her name was, the good girl, 's boobs. This time it's trying to see the extremely hot French teacher's. In the process they see tons of other girls naked. It's relatively plotless besides this. There is no character development, I can't recall any of the other girls names. It has none of the charm of the original Screwballs.

This is also available on Blu Ray. It looks great. The DVD has some interview extras I didn't watch and included a rough copy of the European edition which looked pretty much the same to me but from what I recall from some message board post like 5 years ago there are slight differences. If you've seen stuff like "Assault of the Party Nerds" or other son of son of Animal House things you get the message. TOTAL day glo eighties trash.
