Ah, the good old days.

I don't guess  I even knew he was still alive.  95 years is a ripe old age.
Rest in peace, Mr. Borgnine, and thanks for all the wonderful entertainment you provided.

One of those actors I would have liked to meet.  Seemed like a warm, kindly old guy.  Owner of some of the thickest eyebrows I ever did see.  RIP Ernie.

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

Sad news indeed....what a prolific career this wonderful actor had. Memorable performances and characters. One of my all time favorites. A dear friend of mine actually met Mr.Borgnine several times doing charity work....said he was truly a decent man.

Yes,I'm fine....as long as I don't look too closely.

He could play a good guy (MARTY, ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK, MCHALE'S NAVY) or a bad guy (FROM HERE TO ETERNITY, WILLARD, EMPEROR OF THE NORTH) with equal skill.  Sad to see him go.

I would have gone for the bad guy in BAD DAY AT BLACK ROCK, but two of your choices are, well, "choice".  Good villain parts from a talented actor.  He was even good in THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE

Oh, yeah. A proud navy vet, so no sea sickness on PT 73.

Remember in THE DIRTY DOZEN, when during the war game, he realizes the what the guys are up to, and leaves Robert Ryan's character to get his comeuppance, laughing all the way?
I loved that.
