C'mon, dawn of the dead is one of the best horror movies of all time. You gotta be either really stupid or really slow to think such a smart movie is bad.Saying this is bad is confessing to be the just like the zombies in the movie.

I don't think you read the review.  Did you?  You have to be really stupid to make a comment about a review without even reading it.

How many times do we have to hear comments like this? Just because the site is "badmovies.org" doesn't mean everything reviewed is "bad".  Like Andrew said, try reading the review before making rude comments.

Update: There is a little known practice known as "Mall Walking", the primary participants being the elderly. I came about this information doing mall security at night. At 4:20 A.M, I unlock the doors to let the "Mall Walkers" in.IT IS EXACTLY LIKE THIS MOVIE!! Zombie-like creatures stumble up and down the common area, grunting, groaning, farting and smelling. If my company provided firearms, I would have lost it long ago and acted out some of my favourite scenes from Dawn of the Dead.

i love this film.
But I do say i really loved the remake.
Yes, zombies can't run. But they did (and talk) on Return of the Living Dead.
That's sort of a comedy yes, but it's still happening in more of a comedic effect.
The remake just went through something different on "what if zombies could run?", it would be terrifying. It's just a different view on zombies.
You even saw on this film that it's extremely easy to get passed them if you are paying attention. The running was just an extra boost, that's all.
People take the "zombie running" thing way too seriously. A zombie apocalypse is scary, but it could easily be taken care of if planned.
Running zombies is just a scary thought that a living fat guy could not outrun a skinny dead guy. It's just a whole new challenge.
There's only so much that can be done with zombie movies, it gets boring. So someone had to refresh the idea a little. That man was James Gunn (Super, Scooby Doo, Slither, Tromeo and Juliet.)

Not just one of the best Zombie horror films ever made but one of the greatest horror sequels of all time.

A masterpiece.

Umaril Has Returned

All comments aside from the viewer and reviewer alike, the original Dawn Of The Dead had a very bleak and somewhat hopeless view of the world, and it was just the right mixture!

From the beginning where the news station was falling apart, to the citizens in the apt. building arming themselves for their own safety (and their fight with the authorities) and our heroes taking off into the uncertainly of the night, the whole movie was just about the best opening 30 or 40 minutes of any horror movie past or present. It gave a real sense of society's downward slide into anarchy and chaos

While the main story centered on our 4 heroes, the occasional glimpse into the outside world thru the TV broadcasts and their initial ordered manner and the eventual plunge into chaos on their last broadcast was a nice touch too..Romero created an atmosphere where the viewer got just enough of a hint of society's downward spiral and left the rest up to us to fill in or expound upon.  A film like this couldn't happen again. it was a one time deal.
