90's fighting movie help

hey everyone,

any help finding this movie would be greatly appreciated. i saw it YEARS ago, and for some reason it popped into my head and i'm really want to see it again. unfortunately i remember very little of it...

i wanna say it was made in the early 90's, but it could very well be an 80's movie. i remember it has a young white kid, possibly a high school student. he gets mixed up in some form of underground fighting/boxing, and the guy in charge is just exploiting the fighters for money. and in the end of the movie, the kid and the guy in charge end up fighting...

sorry for the vague details, but its all i remember... any help or suggestions would be great.

no, unfortunately thats not the one... looks interesting tho, i might have to check that one out.

the one i'm lookin for, i seem to remember them making the final fight "more interesting" and the took of their gloves and made it a bare knuckle fight...

I think i have seen what you are talking about on HBO once. I remember the kid fights a Garey Busey looking dude who uses dirty tricks. The kid ends up faking being hurt in order to deliver his final knockout punch.

I know the exact movie you are talking about. It's called Gladiator (1992), starring Brian Dennehy, and has a young Cuba Gooding Jnr.
