Van Damme, Norris, Schwarzenegger and more in Expendables 2

Moviehole got ahold of said cast list and is reporting that familiar faces like Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger will be back (sorry) in Expendables 2, while the often-rumored Jean-Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris, and Scott Adkins​ are all now officially onboard for the film

I think most of the original cast will be returning, too.  I'm no fan of The Expendables, I basically hated it.  Regardless of that I plan on seeing this one whenever it comes out.  I'll go in expecting it to suck so maybe that'll help.

I don't know what to think. I love the big ensemble cast of action heroes. As a fan of classics like "The Great Escape," I've been dreaming of an action ensemble since Arnie was the biggest star in Hollywood. And now, such a thing is both financially feasible, and more attractive to the stars themselves. But the first Expendables was such a mediocre action movie, I was just that much more disappointed because of the wasted potential.

If more action veterans are getting on board for this one, and guys like Arnie and Bruce Willis are getting larger roles in it, that's good. But it really needs to be a movie that showcases the stars, lets them all do what they do best and gives them a chance to shine. I think it might help to go a little bit campy, and do it 80s style - sort of a pastiche of the kind of movies these guys are famous for. It would give us a chance to see the older guys as we really want to see them, and the younger stars would have a blast doing it too. I'd pay to see that.

But if it's just going to be another forgettable action movie that happens to have a bunch of big names in it, like the first Expendables, I can do without it.

How could you hate The Expendables?  Watching that movie is like putting on your favorite pair of worn-out jeans.  Ahhhh...

I would love to see Mr. T show up in a villainous role in part 2.

I enjoyed it very much....lots of action and bigger than life heroes. I'll definitely check out the second film.
