I'll clue you in on something about me, Trevor.

When it comes to opinions about the U.S., I actually take what people from other countries say about her more seriously than what people here say. Most people here are so drunk on their partisan Koolaid that objectivity has been thrown out the window with the bath water.
I don't always talk about bad movies, but when I do, I prefer badmovies.org

Oh, and people don't think as bad of South Africa as many media sources would lead you to believe.

I just finished a Corporate Finance class for my MBA program, and the teacher was talking about risk adjustments when dealing with various part so the world. Certain places where American businesses might consider doing busines, they have to take things into account like cultural risk, political risk, etc. He put up a map of the world and we talked about how different parts of the world rate in that regard with the business community, from low to medium to high. When it came to the continent of Africa, it was interesting. The middle of Africa is generally assessed by the business community as high-risk, while the North Africa moves into the medium category and the South moves into the low end of medium.

So, media-at-large assessments aside, Trevor, businesses have a decidedly more favorable perspective of SA.

I love the USA and its' people ~ that is straight up, no BS.

I am an African and South African patriot: I love my continent, my birthplace of what is now Zimbabwe and my adopted country South Africa: no one must want to burn either of these two in the past, present or future.

My poem in honor of Sir William O Reilly:

"There is a man named Bill O' Reilly
Who is at once feisty, friendly, crafty and wily.
While Barney Frank and others moan
From him you seldom hear a groan.
With his hand on The Factor tiller
He keeps a leash on Dennis Miller
And daily offers us a no-spin zone."

He didn't read this out on air: probably doubled over in agony due to the terrible poetry.  :buggedout: :twirl:
