...Exactly. I got nothin' against Lou Reed or Metallica separately, but they go together about as well as tuna fish and cheesecake.  :tongueout:
I think it's more like ice cream and steak. :bluesad:

I know that this is stating the obvious, but it must be said:

Metallica, QUIT WHILE YOU'RE AHEAD.

1989?
Through the darkness of future past
The magician longs to see
One chance opts between two worlds
Fire walk with me

We have a chain of popular music stores that post the usual 'recommended listening' note on an album with a short spiel about what's good about it etc. The note said somethin along the lines of 'they collaborate to make the worst album in existence. this has ruined music for me forever.'

Good selling point when the staff don't want you to buy it right?

Lou Reed was always a prentious a***ole and Metallica think they make a difference-they dont. After MASTER OF PUPPETS they sucked. They belong together.
s**t mucicians who blow more smoke out there ass than actual good music.
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)

I think VELVET UNDERGROUND era LOU REED was one of the great ROCK songwriters.  I wouldn't describe him as "always... pretentious". I like some of his solo stuff too.  Now METALLICA is boe-ring; Master of Puppets is okay for me (I own it) but I'm not a fan.

I never got Lou Reed beyond those first VU albums. I haven't heard one good thing about this.
