This movie is terrible.  Therefore, you should definitely watch it.

It starts with a young boy named Raja witnessing three bandits robbing a religious temple.  The bandits murder Raja's parents and a priest.  So Raja prays to a statue then stabs himself.  The statue comes to life, revives Raja, and bestows great powers upon him.

Raja's first demonstration of his power is when he is bitten by a snake.  A doctor tries to give Raja an injection, but the needle bends against the boy's super-skin!  Amazing!  The snake's fangs could penetrate Raja's skin, but the needle could not!

Raja grows up to be a chubby guy who resembles John Belushi with a Wayne Newton wig and thin mustache.  Most of the time he wears ugly leisure suits.

This movie is a musical, therefore Raja frequently breaks into poorly choreographed song-and-dance routines with various female cast members.  Most of the dance moves resemble penguins waddling around.

Whenever danger arises, Raja turns into Superman.  He doesn't change into his costume in phone booths or anything . . . his costume just magically appears on his body.  The flying scenes are incredibly cheesy and Superman always seems to be out of scale with his surroundings.  For example, when he flies above a bus, his body is almost as long as the bus!  And when he fights (often using martial arts) his cape always seems to get in the way . . . he gets tangled in it or it goes over his head.

This movie has a very tedious soap-opera style plot involving Raja's sister, who becomes pregnant before she is married, and an evil businessman trying to swindle people out of their shares in a mica mine.

During a couple of fight scenes, Superman doesn't even change into his costume.  In one fight scene, he remains in his pajamas and bathrobe.  And he even kills some people.

This movie is exhausting, yet hilarious.  It has an astounding 128 minute running time!   And the theme song is very clever ("Superman! Superman! Superman! Superman! Superman!")  I have a wonderfully cheesy, scratchy, DVD-R print that appears to be taken from an imported VHS tape (but my copy is much better quality than the Youtube clips below).  GREAT stuff for late-night viewing.

Wow...that sounds amazingly awful....I must find it!

If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.

Well, I also have TURKISH BATMAN at home waiting to be watched . . . and that one is in black & white!

You're causing me to have acid flashbacks over here   :tongueout:
