In the late 60's, Hal Roach studios decided to remake some of their classic shorts with an outer space theme.  While test audiences enjoyed the shorts, they (the shorts, not the test audiences) were judged too short for TV and went unsold for years.   In this remake of "The Music Box," the couch replaces the piano, and the ladder replaces the long stair case.
