Umaril Has Returned

Just yesterday I went into one of the surviving FYE stores in our immediate area and wound up getting the MGM Midnight Movie double feature of The Return Of Dracula and The Vampire, and all for the low-low price of $6.99   I'm very happy with this purchase and the quality of the movies is middle of the road, but very watchable and a lot of fun.  Both movies were seen by me in my youth on WNEW 5's Creature Features, and in this case, it's the first time I've seen The Vampire in almost or over 30 years.  Get this disc if you can, people, it's well worth it and at a great price too!

I like both of those movies, and probably saw them first on WNEW channel 5 Creature Feature

Good stuff, Allhallowsday.
I once read (and was later told by Al Adamson's buddy Sam Sherman at a convention) that Return Of Dracula's Frances Lederer was once considered for the part of Dracula in Dracula vs. Frankenstein. But we got Zandor Vorkov and his reverberated voice and runny makeup, and a hoot of a movie. Also quite a historical one too, as it was the very last appearances of J. Carroll Naish, Angelo Rossito and Lon Chaney Jr. As well as a small part by Famous Monsters legend Forrest J. Ackerman

Nice purchase.  I also own this double feature, and I'm sure I paid somewhere between $9.99 and $14.99 for it.  You got yourself a bargain!

FYE is good with their prices. However no matter what video deals I may have scored past and present, the Ultimate Edition of Dawn Of The Dead (all 4 discs, the map of the mall and the comic book, all in pristine condition) for $14.99 was the best deal I ever got! And I still have the set.  Halloween will be here soon, so this gives me an idea....
