Trying to remember the name of this movie I saw on TV when I was a kid. Had to be made before 1985. A kid (or some kids) finds a dead body, then goes to tell someone. When they return the body's gone. There was something about a guy with a briefcase that had a torn edge. The cop they told about the body didn't believe them, so they had to try to solve the mystery themselves. One kid, the smallest of the group, had a huge swiss army knife which he used to pick the lock on the briefcase. If it wasn't the kid from Eight Is Enough, (Adam Rich) it sure looked like him. Nothing in his filmography bio resembled this movie. I don't know if it was an actual movie or a made-for-TV-movie. If anyone can tell me the name, I'd appreciate it. It's driving me crazy! Thanks!

Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.

Possibly The Double McGuffin (1979).

That would be my guess as well. I remember George Kennedy being in it, but I had forgotten it also starred Ernest Borgnine, Elke Sommer, Ed "Too Tall" Jones, Lyle Alzado, and Lisa Welchel. If it is not "The Double McGuffin," then that is a half dozen good reasons to see it.
