Movie having robots with triangle heads,nu robots spawn from gooey machine eggs?

It's a movie with decent effect iirc..dun remember if foreign or english...but mostly i think english...it's got these robots with a triangle for a head...and new robots are being created...larvae like...gooey...hatching from small enclosures...robots kill most of the crew ...or people..someone plans to create n use em to destroy....shudn't be too old...been trying to remember this one for so loong...only 3 other movies i tried to remember like that and found 2 of them(they live & fantastic voyage)...please help if u could.....thanks..

The first movie that comes to mind is "Screamers" (1995).  Most of the robots in that film are small and burrowing.  I do not remember any scenes with them spawning from eggs.

Another film is "Moontrap" (1989).  In that one the robots are something like an infection and there might have been a spawning-type of scene.  Similar ideas were used in "Virus" (1999).

Thanks a ton for replying..but those aren't the ones I'm looking for...although moontrap comes really close...however now I have discovered 2 new movies to watch...thanks to you :)

why does this resemble very much war of the tripods. but its an old tv-series. triangles, green goo, killing humans, humans plan to kill tripods.

Space Truckers is a fun movie.
