I'm looking for a movie that I saw when I was in middle school in the early 1980's. I would love to show it to my kids because it was a good way to learn about the Revolutionary War, IIRC. I remember that it had how the Minute Men formed and how the Red Coats would line up and beat the drums as they went into battle. There was also another part where something happened to a guys hand. Seems like it was burned on a canon....maybe? Anyway they bandaged him up but he never changed it and his fingers grew together.

I would be grateful for any help on this one. I would love to see it again and show it to my kids.

Rayo Casablanca

Maybe this is JOHNNY TREMAIN (1957)? Set in the same time period, has the same events, and he burns his hand. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnny_Tremain_(film)

Based on a really amazing book, BTW.  I highly recommend it if you've never read it.
