KLM really stepped in it.

Yes indeed, KLM really stepped in it;

QuoteKLM, the Royal Dutch Airlines, took to Twitter Sunday afternoon to take a parting shot at Mexico after the Netherlands made a stunning comeback against El Tri in a World Cup Round of 16 game in Brazil.

"Adios Amigos! #NEDMEX" read the tweet posted on KLM's official account that included a picture of a departures sign featuring a sombrero-wearing caricature.

The tweet immediately went viral and led to a number of angry replies.

I suppose it could've been worse...I suppose they could've included a picture of a person performing a sex act with an airplane like another airline did a few months ago.
God of making the characteristic which becomes dirty sends the hurricane.

On the one hand, racial stereotypes really do need to go bye-bye in the modern world.
On the other hand, there seem to be a ton of hypersensitive pansies out there who need to take a huge chill pill.

... really?  Is that all it takes to offend people these days?

TheDope

Well, if that be the case, let's be good diplomats and give them a friendly video in deference to that airline's snide little tweet, shall we?

It seems like the greatest joy many people find in life these days is taking offense and some incredibly tiny thing.  What a sad life that must be.

So you're saying I have a sad life? I demand an apology!
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

Oh all right Rev,  I offer a complete and utter retraction. The imputation was totally without basis in fact, and was in no way fair comment, and was motivated purely by malice, and I deeply regret any distress that my comments may have caused you, or your family, and I hereby undertake not to repeat any such slander at any time in the future.  :teddyr:

The world could take a lesson from Jewish people, who seem good at laughing at their own foibles. Also I wish the word "prejudiced" would make a comeback because nowadays saying "racist" has replaced it, and really there are only three races (Negroid, Mongoloid, and Caucasoid) and groups that aren't distinct races include Hispanics, gays, women, Islamists and so many other frequently labeled victims of alleged "racism". I actually once heard a kid say, "He's so racist against gays." I have no idea if the man being spoken of was anti-gay, but I do know that while gay people individually belong to a race they don't collectively constitute a race. Gay people are a subculture that practices homosexual relations, excellent fashion sense, and control of fine dining establishments via the waiter mafia.

In another topic, my neighbor is totally racist toward whitetail deer.

What does not kill me makes me stranger.

That's the post of the day Indy, esp. with regard to the hypersensitive pansies...

Another show that gets panned a lot is The Little Rascals.  This clip has a scene that still gets talked about to this day.  It starts at 46 seconds into the video. It's funny, but it's not,  but that's the way they did it...

A Foible?  I think that some sort of Jewish toy. One time, I went to my friend Saul's house and he asked me if I wanted to see the new foible his mother bought him...

Yo-Yo's were originally made in Israel. The word was spelled backwards, actually it's an "Oy-Oy"...   da da da da da dum. BOOM!     :twirl:
