I liked what Anderson created but I loathed him: he was quoted as saying people who cannot draw have 'cripple's hands'. Twat.

I never liked his stuff-it was-I dunno-creepy-like child molester creepy.

I was always a big fan of Gerry Anderson's Supermarionation shows, especially Supercar, Fireball XL5 and Thunderbirds.  The real stars of those shows were the futuristic vehicles, which were fantastically cool for the young boys who made up the primary target audience.  And Thunderbirds' Lady Penelope was pretty sexy, for a puppet.

As for being "creepy" -- what's so creepy about macrocephalic marionettes?

Hey, I like UFO. I think it was a pretty well-written show, if you can overlook the scientific implausibilities and the dated "futuristic" fashions. Love the purple wigs on those Moonbase babes!

I also thought UFO was quite good. Hence my avatar. I though absolutely love Captain Scarlet & the Mysterons and Thunderbirds, my favourite shows from Anderson.
