Among the others to do: Gappa and Gorgo. Since Pacific Rim I've been revitalized in giant monster movies and I've started trying to fill in the gaps in my collection.

Legend of Dinosaurs: Do I like this?..Yes...yes I think I do. I find it to be a rather fascinating movie and I'd love to watch a documentary about it. Toei, a television company, took a stab at giant monster movies with Godzilla on break and Gamera fading. There needs to be more angry dinosaur action for sure and the props and dinos don't look so good but at least they have some neat life sized ones. Best part: the music for sure. Great disco music but boy it does not mesh well with the scenes.

Yongarry: I'm saddened to learn that the original South Korean version may be gone. I remember even when I was five I found this movie kind of boring. I think the sets are alright but damn, I watchi this back to back with Godzilla and there are huge differences in how to make a monster movie entertaining. I like the first third and after some scenes of Yonggary attacking the city but then it just drags. This DVD from MGM really cleaned up the film I must admit. Coolest thing was Yongarry's horn beam...used only twice.

Konga: I saw this one as a teenager and I actually enjoyed it. I still enjoy it as an adult. It's more evil scientist with murdering gorilla than a giant monser movie. I get kind of sucked into the main character's love of rambling his long winded speeches. I think it has good set up and story and it must have done pretty well since it got a comic book series for a while.
Now it's time to sing the nation anthem IN AMERICA!!!
