I just saw a video store open the other day on my trip, and was so happy to see it busy on a Friday evening.  I used to find rentals a total treasure trove of films.  Must more fun than searching out online.

They have permission to screen films on a commercial basis? Because that's pretty cool, is permission even required there I don't even know.

If you ever make your way to Oregon stop by Movie Madness in SE Portland.  They have so much cool stuff, especially actual props/costumes from movies they auctioned for.  Also out-of-print stuff and incredibly obscure movies, and they are under cool categories like "Dead Teenagers" and "Killer Kids" and "Nature Run Amok", etc.

That's the Pacific Northwest for you. Where up is down. Down is up. Left is right. And right is left.

In the TV series "Wolf Lake," Lou Diamond Phillips heads for Wolf Lake, which is supposedly in eastern Washington state, by driving across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge in a westerly direction.

I still sometimes have dreams about video Oasis in Cambridge MA. I used to go everyday he had been open since the 80's so he had all kind of big weird boxes, laser discs and other stuff.
