I've been experimenting with a draft of a Jason montage. I plan on arranging some of the sequences a bit better and adding more bodies-through-the-window shots, but I figured I'd share:

Glad you didn't include 5 or 9.  9 was especially one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Thanks -yes, that was intentional. I did debate on including a couple shots of Jason from dreams/hallucinations in part 5, but settled against it.

And yes, I detest 9 with a passion.

3 and 8 are my faves (probably for the wrong reasons)

nice lil montage, the sound only comes out of 1 speaker though (left)

Yes, I noticed that too and I cannot figure out why it put the audio only on one side (seems to happen when converting from DVD but ironically enough, when I convert from VHS using the same equipment/software, it works totally fine).

strange.. not sure if you're able to export just the audio track as a wav or mp3 and put it in a wave editor, but I find a good trick to use if there's only sound in one speaker channel is to make the whole wave file 'mono'. that's probably quite an obvious trick tbh but it will give equal sound out of both speakers

Friday the 13th part V holds a special place in my heart.  I think if it weren't a Friday the 13th movie that it would actually be a great 80's slasher.  Just wish it wasn't in this franchise, it didn't have to be.

I will have to experiment more with the software (Roxio Easy VHS/DVD) to see just why it would convert sound differently using the same settings.  Just spent a lot of time on their forums and didn't find squat about it. Seems most folks have that problem with VHS audio but not DVD.

Basically, I did a bunch of commentaries (laying my voice track over the converted sample videos -in another words, I'm not converting the entire DVD at once, just select clips). I did several from VHS and the sound is actually quite good (relatively speaking of course). Did the exact same with a DVD ...and it's totally mono. Doesn't make a lot of sense since I'm using the same adapter for both, the same settings. Although, I guess I will have to double-check those settings again -maybe I missed something. I will try some of the suggestions mentioned above. Thanks all!

Yes, I actually like Friday V now a days -hated it as a teen but now, I love it for its over-the-top goofiness.
